Engine oil 2.7 TDV6

I know there are lots of posts regarding engine oil and I see that alot of people recommend using Castrol Magnatec , is there any better oil to use , I currently have left over about 15 litres of Exol Vimax 0w 30 fully synthetic oil that I use to use on my Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI , its ACEA B3 , my RRS has done 111k would this be okay to use ?

normal spec is 5w30.
Dont know what the impact of 0w30 wouild be, probably nothing, but you need an oil/engine developer to give you more insight... Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

I'd personally not use 0w when the manual says use 5w, but that's just me.

The car needs 5w, so for the sake of £18 are you going to risk your 7k engine? RRS gone

Like awd, I'd be disinclined to deviate from the recommended oil if it were my car. Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Your right mate ill just put the 5w 30 in , only asked about the 0w 30 because I had seen on some other sites about people using 0w 40 Mobil 1 in there TDV6 engines

Your motor hasn't got a DPF they were only fitted to late 2010 models onwards. Wink

In the end I bought 10 litres of Fuchs Titan XTR Synthetic 5W 30 oil , got a good deal £36 including delivery , did a fair bit of research and Fuchs lubricants are well recommended.
