Compressor changed ........LOUD humming noise

Had the compressor changed under warranty in my MY12 HSE because I took it in for the intermittent amber warning of 'Normal Height Only Available'.

My wife collected it because I was away at work.
She tells me it was fine when she drove it.

Started the car this morning and there is a very loud humming noise now (like a saw running in the car) Shocked which only disappears when the suspension height is changed and the car is moving to the selected height. Once it gets to the selected height, the loud humming starts again.

Needless to say it's going right back but I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem after having the compressor changed. 12MY RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra / Black + contrast/ Grand Black

Update............they said the new compressor was defective so changed it again.
No problems at all since then.

Not too bad I guess considering that both times they got the new part in 1 day's time. 12MY RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra / Black + contrast/ Grand Black

Normal Height Only Available - Alert

My 2010 TDV8 had the intermittant "Normal Height Only Available" alarm at about 12 months it just started to have the same fault again (at 24 months - only 14,000km on the clock). My vehicle gets a lot of stop start driving with the car raised and lowered at each stop.

I get the feeling compressors Landrover use are not designed for such a heavy duty cycle.

Anybody else had the same problem.

Compressor replacement

Had the air suspension compressor replaced again during 2013 (3 times since new) and it has never been right since. I get a lot of rattling/resonance from the compressor /and or piping when it is active.

I also had the airconditioning compressor replace under warranty about 6 months ago because of a whining noise when it was cycling. It has started to make the same noise again.

Landrover parts are starting to become a bit of a joke.

My car has 20,000 km on the odometer and has had the following replaced under warranty within 3 years:
3 air suspension compressors.
1 rear differential.
1 transfer case.
1 air conditioning compressor.
1 drivers seat foam.
1 set of air conditioning temperature controls
1 piece of wood trim (they have tried 4 times to replace this and each time the replacement piece comes in damaged - still not replaced).
1 rear tail gate latch assembly.
1 av screen assembly.
1 battery.

I still have serious problems with drive train shunt, airconditioning noises, air compressor noises, electrical gremlins etc etc

The service manager at the dealership where I bought it from said to me recently "your not very happy with your car are you, maybe you should try a different brand next time" I could beleive it when I heard what he said to me but I think he may be right.

I dont think I have ever heard of such a problematic vehicle
