I had a series 2 truck cab a few years ago and it was the best fun i had off road! Downside it was fitted with webber carbs and on a hill over 30 odd % it used to flood. That was fun! 2015 RRS AB SDV6, Fuji White, Ivory

I've just looked at my local refettler of Land Rovers (Lix Toll Land Rovers) website and am gobsmacked at the prices that they are asking for same age Defenders as mine with twice the mileage..............GBP15000 for a 145000 TDi 300 converted from a Hard Top to a Stationwagon............ I paid 10k for my then 54000 mile County HT back in 2001, it now has become a County Station wagon and has some battle scars, but if I can get >12k for it now then it has been an even better investment of my hard earned than I ever imagined it would be, all due to Land Rover discontinuing UK/ European production! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I bought my 90 because I was off-roading a Freelander1 and going places LR never intended them to go! It was a toy and got bashed but with changes to land access laws up here it doesn't get anywhere near as much winch challenge kind of stuff it used to do and has been gradually rebuilt over the last 5 years. Next stage is a full respray to restore its original deep sheen Epsom Green to its former unscratched glory. I saw an new unregistered 110 XS Stationwagon the other day with a sticker price of GBP48000! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Lightweights are nice but they have some unique bits that can make some work more expensive owing to sourcing the bits.

I'm after a restored or good example series as near to original spec as possible - not really into tweaks and modifications myself so the lightweight isn't really for me - it's half the price of the other 2 but not what I'm after

Couple of years ago I'd be thinking that would be fun off road and tempted but I'm being drawn to the classic ones now - must be my age Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I love the little half tonners. Series 2 and 3 was my bread and butter as a mechanic in the Army (REME), then the 90 and 110 later, but the half tonner was my favourite. Have you seen the prices of good 1 Tonne's now |
