Switzerland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Bonatti Grey
Indicated fuel consumption

Does anyone else think the fuel consumption calculation is wrong? I get between 600 and 700 km with 80 litres of diesel (TDV6 from 2010) which translates into 11.4 to 13.3 and the trip computer gives me some 10.7 to max 11.4 (reset on trip B done at full tank). Gone:
2010 Bali Blue, Reverse Camera, Winter Pack, Privacy Windows, Sunroof, Steel Tread Plates.

Mine has always given an over optimistic reading so I don't even look at it any more. I use the range setting instead which is a bit yo-yo like in its readings but a useful warning none the less Gordon Kerr

I'd like to believe my mpg that it shows, but it cant be too correct surely.

Whats the correct way to work out mpg, is it fill the tank, reset odometer, drive to empty, fill tank again, then something or other? am I close? Laughing Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

England

Fill up, reset odometer, drive, fill up, note how many litres to fill up, record how far you have travelled then calculate.

eg Travelled 380 miles and used 70 litres (70/4.54 for gallons)

380 divided by 15.4 gallons= 24.67 mpg

then compare to the computer and Big Cry MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys
