2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Java Black

POOR STARTING ON V8 S/C

Hi, when i turn the key to start the car nothing happens then suddenly it tries to crank over and if u keep the key turned it eventually starts. I thought it might have been the starter motor and checked the connections and found one loose. After tightening up it seemed ok for a few weeks but now the problem is back!! It seems electrical either ignition or starter based and sometimes prompts a few warning lights to come on when it eventually starts but these go off. The problem seems worse in colder or damp weather, if anyone has any ideas please let me know cos i think it will refuse to start at all on day!!!

Hi, what was the problem with your s/c in the end? I have the same problem on my new one.

Been running perfectly this week. Today I just turned key and it eventually started third time, with foot on accelerator!
