I have MiWitness front and rear in-car cameras and decided to move them.

Staggered to find the screen mounting self adhesive pads from the MiWitness's website are £5.99 EACH, and just to add further "Standard" delivery is £7.50.

I regularly send A4 packs of documents 'signed for' for under £7 so I think its a bit of a rip-off.

A sheet of 20, 3M pads via Amazon are under £7 with free P&p !!

What self adhesive pads to you use?

Still using the pads that came with the Blackvue (3M I think) in my old X5, and Mini 0806 in the not so old RRS.
All very sticky, so no plans to change! Got a couple of spares with each camera too, so should do me at least one re-fit, probably put the Blackvue in the RRS as it's dual channel.
So called OEM products will always be well over the top, maybe where the majority of their money is made, from unsuspecting punters ;-( Luckily, we know better

I had the same issue with my blackvue, postage was more than the pads. Eventually found some on ebay for £10 inc postage, and i got two in the pack Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam

I email MiWitness hoping they might post a couple by ordinary mail rather £7.50, (I'd have paid for the pads).

The reply was staggeringly off-hand, e.g

"We send by DHL off the website so its standard pricing. Genuine pads are not cheap so the pricing reflects that.

There is nothing stopping you from getting pads elsewhere."


I located the same 3M pads online from a In-car camera retailer in Bournemouth for £2.98 a pair with free P&P so they've just themselves a customer for ever!!

£2.98 is much more like it, I'm sure they'll be 2 a penny on fleabay as well...
