Which dealer has given the best freebies?

i got a flyer from my local dealer today, inviting me to book a test drive in the new FFRR on their "unveiling" weekend. the next closest dealer took a load of potential customers to Marr Hall, a 5 star luxury golf course/hotel!! has anyone had any cracking days out courtesy of the dealer? (i havent had an off road day out of mine for years!)
cheers
dave

PS, despite puttng a fair bit through the RBS, ive never been invited to the 6 nations, and i change a couple of million euros a year with travelex, but no cricket days!! maybe its my aftershave....... MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged Wink ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps!

My score isn't much better...

Bought 15 Land Rovers, incl. 10 Range Rovers; 4 of which were new - freebies equals...

1 Umbrella
1 Valet Pack
1 Off-road day (brought up in fields and rallying cars so bit of a busman's holiday) etc
1 Launch day (1992).

So I guess that's Dealer 1, me Nil.

Only on my first LR product so no freebies for me...at my rate of buying cars I might be eligible for a brolly in 2036! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I've bought around 20 new BMWs (company cars) from the same garage and never been invited on their golf day or anything else.

When I bought my first RRS at the age of 24 they wouldn't even let me test drive it until I gave them the deposit, never mind getting any freebies!!

Ripon LandRover gave me a bottle of red and white wine in a presentation box, a decent size FFRR model for the boy and my daughter received a cuddly toy.

Mine weren't part of the deal as such, they were handed over when the car was delivered to my door.

Free extra's when buying were mats, flaps, free supply and fitting of steps plus a tank of fuel.

A nice key ring (not normal cheapo leather thing) from Matford in Exeter, thats it so far when I buy used LR's.

I always try and get a set of mats thrown in, but have not had any freebies or invites to experience days etc, perhaps I should change my deodorant Big Cry --------------------------------------------------------

I should have clarified on the first post, while I was happy with the initial purchase price and extras chucked in, I really ment post purchase, I usually buy closest to home (apart from a few Dutch imports when the pound was actually worth something!), as I like to get the car serviced at the supplying dealer. It is just a pity that our local dealer doesn't go that extra mile and organise days out or proper new vehicle launches. I am more tempted to buy further afield now, as customer bashes are more likely to forge closer ties (I have in the past taken clients to industry award nights, send the odd bottle of whiskey etc) for our dealer principal to send out a letter asking if I want to book a test drive , when the one 50 miles away is having a launch buffet etc at a country club , is a bit lacking in customer relations......
Cheers

When buying my used RRS, Conwy Landrover were pretty fair, they threw in a set of floor mats, changed snagged seat belts, replaced snagged door seal, addressed all scuffed wheels and paintwork, and knocked £1K off the window price.

They then delivered the car for free - which meant driving it 220ish miles to my house (leaving me with circa 1/2 a tank of fuel to play with).

And in the boot I found an umbrella (Conwy LR branded of course - but good quality and huge!), and a bouquet of flowers - for the missus obviously!

Oh and because I was travelling on the train to view the car, they drove me to and from the station, and pretty much emptied the waiting room fridge of drinks and snacks for my journey home.

All in all a very pleasant buying experience Thumbs Up 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG
