How do I use microfibre cloths properly?

Assuming the weather eventually warms up a bit I'm looking forward to giving the beast a good clean and have bought a few cleaning products including some decent microfibre cloths. But I'm a bit confused as have found references to their use to remove wax (which obviously I don't want to do) and also as an alternative to the old fashioned chamois leather to dry off after rinsing (which I do want to do).
So my dumb question is - what is the difference in techniques between these two uses? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I think the reference to removing wax is after you have applied the wax and need to remove the residue Thumbs Up At least this is what i use them for.

Microfibres can be used to remove wax after its been applied, also known a buffing it off

once the residue is removed then you'll be ok

I thin microfibre for buffing, but instead of your chamois leather you want to buy a plush/fluffy microfibre drying towel

method, depending on what you prefer, fold it up and dabbing, laying it down on top and patting dry, of folding it up and softly wiping
