Can more than one person turn up on the day ? Of course there will be more than one on the day, but I mean can I bring friend/wife/girlfriend along ?

(Clearly not all at the same time or it would be an interesting journey there and back !)

I'm yet to work out the format of the day with LRE, but I guess +1's could be possible, but then it means that the waiting list would be longer.

I'll keep you posted, but +1's would be good but it does depent on uptake. At the moment there is roughtly 60 people interested, therefore a possible 120 with +1's. Doing the sums I would say that it would take 5 days to make sure everyone attended........ therefore if we run monthly then it would take us to June!

Eastnor have done self-drive days where you convoy with an instructor at each end of the convoy. That way you get plenty of people involved without using up too many of their staff. Might it be worth asking if they'd consider something similar?

UPDATE!

I am pleased to confirm that the first HGG/Forum/LRE day has been booked for Thursday 18th April. There will be an AM and PM session with breakfast rolls for the AM group and pastries for the PM group (plus teas and coffees etc). The idea would be to have 12 + a guest each on each session with a convoy of approx 12 LRE vehicles with regular changes from one vehicle to another.

In a couple of weeks I will be asking those towards the top of the list to confirm if they can attend, and where possible (as lots of you know each other) then ideally if the +1 could be another forum member then that would be great.

Exact timings and attendees are yet to be confirmed, therefore I will update you again as soon as I have more information.

Hopefully if this first event is enjoyed (and goes to plan) then I am keen to arrange a bi-monthly meet. Sadly a weekend day won't be possible due to the demand at LRE, however hopefully this event will give everyone a chance to get together and enjoy a bit of mud!
