They should shake all your fillings out if you have any, + trash all your suspension components. Big Cry The ride will be horrendous. Shocked I'd get some 19" winter wheels & tyres. Thumbs Up

Jakeob.

Take a peek at page 239 of Your Instruction book.

Under the chapter "Snow Chains":

" Snow chains can ONLY be fitted to the front wheels of vehicles equipped with 17, 18 and 19 x 8 inch wheels. "

" Snow chains MUST NOT be fitted to the rear wheels of any vehicle "

So, the answer is no, You canīt fit snowchains to 22" rims.

And since Your rims are wide, the inside of snowchains would most certainly damage brake and suspension parts
due to lack of clearance.

Better to get winter rims no larger than 19", and get approves chains, to avoid damage to the car.

"But 22inch rims look so cool on my ride. 19inch rims are crap"

By all means, 22" might be what You like
but donīt put snowchains on them.

Iīm almost on the way in the other direction..

Brother has a D3 with 18" rims on, and what a comfortable
ride.

I have 20" rims and a more stiff ride, no magic carpet there.

Almost tempted to get 19"rims.. More rubber to cushion the ride.
Might try 45 profile tires, as a middleway..

Fit winter wheels & tyres , there is no need to fit chains then. Winter tyres are more than adequate for the UK weather even if there is a fair fall of snow. TDV8 HSE....Gone but not forgotten ....class act

I'm hoping for lots of snow but I'm realistic enough to know that we'll get no more than a few mm Crying or Very sad 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
