Periodic fault warning being displayed

Hi,
I have a 2008 RRS 2.7 TDV6 and recently and it onyl happens periodically I can be driving along and a series of fault warning lights come on and the display is telling me that the hydraulic suspension failure, then Engine fault warning, then electronic handbrake failure and so on. If I pull over and turn the engine off and restart then all the warnings disappear.
has anyone seem this before and knows what it might be? Woody

Welcome Smile
As a first port of call, check the battery and possibly the alternator.
Also, check you don't have any brake lights out.
Could also be the steering angle sensor, all sound silly things, but have been known to cause intermittent faults. Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Thank you for your replies.
The first few times this happened was after a cold start and I was only 1/2 from my house. However last weekend I was on the motorway and it happened after I had been driving for an hour. Woody

I had the same kind of problem - I put up with it for a few months thinking it was going to cost big bucks. It turned out to be a temperature sensor in a hose on the coolant system - because it was faulty the car was thinking it was overheating even though there was no warning from the gauge in the car. It's a quick fix & costs about £15 for the part -can't say its definitely the problem but don't rule it out. Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Further to beany's list, it could be the brake pedal switch. That has been known to throw some odd errors when it's on the blink. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had the HDC failure, transmission fault, lowering suspension messages.

Worried me like crazy til I read this forum ...

Was the brake light switch in my case - a whopping £20 fix Smile

Hope yours is the same.
