United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Finally home after a 250 mile drive home, surprised to see the avg mpg end up at 31mpg after doing 70-80 all the way home, traffic was very light though and it was all motorway. Real world figures will be different I am guessing, left with the needle showing a full tank and arrived with it at half a tank. I was expecting it to be much worse.

The car itself is a joy to drive, so comfy, quite and smooth. Currently has the standard 19's on but I'd like to swap there for some 20's or maybe even 22's. Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Updated Cool

I've got 2 weeks to get some little upgrades bought, as I've took the last week of January off work and i've got no plans, so I might as well do some bits to the cars.

Any suggestions on what to go for on the RRS? Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

Post some pics Mister, that way people can see what you've already got. Thumbs Up

Depends what you want your car to look like, but common suggestions will be:
Clear side repeaters
Colour coded door handles/mirrors.
Partial debadging of the boot.
Replacement/painting of the interior wood trimmings.
Headlights/tail lights upgrades/colour treatment of the insides.
Halo rings for the lights
Bigger/different wheels
Side steps
Enabling the rear courtesy lights (a bit of simple rewiring)
LED bulb upgrade (costs less than £20 for the whole car.)
.....the list goes on Smile

Also, get in touch with Bodsy on here, he can do some wizardry to enable options available on later models for you.
He can also supply a replacement Bluetooth unit to allow address book transfer.

That should be enought to keep you busy for a while Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

Hi MrA,

Re your point about upgrading your 19" wheels, I've got a super set of 20" with virtually new tyres if you check out the for sale section.

Glad you enjoying the new beast and hope it will prove its capability with the incoming winter weather. --------------------------------------------------------

Ohhh there's plenty there to keep me busy Laughing

I'll try and get some later, by the time I get home from work though it'll be dark so doubt its going to be the best pictures Sad It's completly bog standard at the moment, so a blank canvas!

Was thinking about the colour coding of the door handles and the mirrors, and I came across these covers:-

http://www.lrparts.net/pp/RANGE_ROVER_SPOR..._GREY.html

Does anyone know if covers are any good, or am I best getting the originals painted? The covers do seem like a quick and easy way of getting the job done, so if theres some good feedback on those then i'll definetly go for them.

I'm tempted to go for the 2010 style front and side grilles, and paint the headlight internals black in a "poor mans effort style of looking like the newer models" Laughing

LED's, I don't fancy doing the likes of the map lights and higher interior lights, as I don't like being blinded or everyone being able to see into the car, I do like privacy, would be interested in doing the footwell lights though. What size/model bulbs are the sidelights, turning lights, fog lights, and number plate lights? Would be nice if they were all as white as the headlights.

What sort of features can Bodsy sort out? How much are the bluetooth units?

Sorry for all the questions Shocked Whistle

Hi BigCat, I've been looking at your wheels already and I've been very tempted, I have the feeling though that if I got them I'd end up wanting to change them again for some 2010-12 wheels, so at the moment I'm still umm'ing and arr'ing over the Supercharge wheels. They do look spotless though and are a very good price Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

I believe quite a few people have gone down this route to get the colour coded effect (awd man I think for one Thumbs Up )

A few threads recently on here re the LED's.
You'll need W5W bulbs for most things. Check these threads first then see if anything is unclear.
