That's not good. Had my fair share of insurance based last year, bloke hit side of my car while stationary at filter lane at lights then claimed I went up outside of him. Settled in his favour, then some nice Easter visitor to Bath went up my chuff at roundabout and claimed I rolled back into him, not possible in an automatic I claimed, insurance settled in his favour. Policy jumped by 70% this year and excess doubled even though in both cases I fixed my own vehicle through my business. CCTV maybe the way to go?? 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Had a phone call from his insurance company today, they said they accept full responsibility,no need to inform my insurance company.Car being collected tomorrow, they offered to drop a courtesy car off at the same time, but I declined(may aswell try to keep the claim cost down)well that's how I see it. |

They are good at doing this, to stop you going through some hire/ management company and ramping up the costs. I wish there were a few more like you, hire costs for Mr take side out were nearly 8 grand, he had a like for like brand new Audi A3 cabrio for his 8 year old fiesta. And it took competitions body shop down the road, 8 weeks to put a wing, door skin and pot of filler in his wheel arch. oh and he sore shoulder, back problems and bruised knee, add another 4 grand to bill 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Typical of the culture we seem to have now,no thought for others and just grab what you can for yourself.Probably never even entered his head that his actions push everyone's premiums up.Well in my naive head,we are talking insurance robbers, sorry company's |

When I moaned in this forum about people taking expensive loan cars and pushing up premiums, I was greeted by several people telling me that they'd "worked hard for my expensive car and why the hell shouldn't I drive an expensive loan car whilst mine is off the road being fixed". My suggestion that we all pay the price was met with derision.

Sorry I meant to say no need to inform my insurance now.The lady explained just let them know at renewal that a third party had taken full responsibility. |
