Hi, could be our usual problem... battery. A good charge or a new one. A drive down the road would nt be enough to charge it though.

It would be helpful to know what RRS you have i.e. year and type (TDV6, TDV8, S/C) 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

same problem on my 4.2 sc. had a new battery already, it seems fuelling related as its flooding as a result ! some sort of idle speed control valve not opening or MAF sensor not reading air flow correctly ??

A tiny bit of throttle and it starts fine but only in cold weather has this started ! Why?.. Because i can....

Thanks have noticed the petrol smell a little! Let me know what you find! Is there an engine light or warning message that would come on if it was something more serious? Haven't had it long so not sure how it works!!

don't let it stand idling - once its going drive off and get it up to operating temp. as quickly as possible - on a pertol engined car a rich mixture for too long will damage the catalytic convertor.
