sounds like a gas leak or something from the boiler if that were your smelling it, or is the exhaust gas leaking

I would suggest you don't use your heating and turn the gas off at the main inlet to the house until you have checked it out, better than a repeat of the gas explosion in Oldham Shocked

Look for a GAS SAFE plumber in your area, online or in the yellow pages, but be warned if you say your smelling gas they can have the Gas Network people within an hour and if they find a gas leak by law they will need to isolate the property until it is fixed, if its the boiler i doubt they will fix it

but don't let that stop you calling someone out Thumbs Up

thats them i meant

came out to me within the hour and spent the next hour sniffing away, didn't find anything and then his sniffer went haywire due to smelling gas in a tiny gap below my kitchen cupboards

turned off and isolated my gas, and British gas came out that night and luckily isolated the pipe that was leaking, to get my heating upstairs on and working again and then seven days later spent all day re-pipping in my kitchen hob and lounge gas fire, luckily on my £30 per month maintenance cover

Im glad they got the heating back on, as it was freezing cold without it, but worth it Thumbs Up

Harry - I think you need to clarify, are you talking about your RRS or house Confused
Judging by the number of problems you've posted up today with your RRS I hope it's not your house, else it would appear everything is turning to rat sCensoredt for you at the moment. Sad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Sounds like he may have topped himself with the issues he was having with his RRS, sounds like having a gas leak (at home?) saved him the trouble of using the oven Shocked ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Hi Guys

Thanks for all your concern!!

I had totally forgot about this thread and Ady just gave me a Nudge Rolling Eyes

Just to let you all know it was a Gas smell on the RRS and not home!

The car went into LR over a week ago due to this and they had advised the Battery was actually cooking and the Gas smell was coming from the battery when the air con or heat was put on.

The Mechanic stated that i'm lucky that it went into LR sooner than later as this could have caused me all sorts of electric issues and loom problems.

They have replaced the Battery at no cost even though this is not covered under warranty and since then I have had no further issues.

This had all initiated from the HDC Fault error code.
