I have a 07MY RRS TDV6 with the newer fuel filter. My handbook does not seem to cover what message/indication appears when the sediment catch at the bottom of the fuel filter detects water in the fuel.

That is exactly what I would expect - I wonder why LR has failed to include that in the message centre section of the handbook where it outlines what messages come up. In Aust water in the fuel can be an issue in some areas due to poor storage practices and environmental factors. Unfortunately the water catchment at the bottom of the fuel filter is too small to be effective - usually by the time the warning is noticed and the engine turned off it is too late and the injection pump and injectors are history. After market water catch and alarm systems is a hot topic for discussion here for all makes with CRD diesels. Cheers garry 07MY RRS TDV6 Arctic Frost Aspen Interior |
