Looking at going in October next year............is this a sensible time to go?

I did not really enjoy India. Service was ropey in Goa to a level I have not experienced before or since. Infrastructure poor. Dirty & dusty. Sea and beaches nothing special. Anorexic horses and cattle upset my missus, and she got chased by a dog (twice) and a rat (once). Prefer Mexico, Thailand and Malaysia by quite a margin for winter sun. We got the 12 hour overnight train from Mumbai to Margoa, which was an experience. Curries are quite cheap!

Not been myself, although like you somewhere I fancied......until a friend went.

Hawaii is very nice place jf, but not sure what the weather is like in October.

Hmmm, I'm being suitably put off Goa. I need somewhere top notch, different, ideally within 10 hours with decent weather in early October.

Take a overnight train, its a expirience , take a taxi for a long distance ride (without ac).
When she marries you after that trip, she loves you really !
