United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver
Replace all flexible brake hoses every 6 years.

Hi All,

I've read this on the service schedule and as my car is now 7 years old it's obviously relevant. Smile

What are the experts' views on this, is it really necessary? (72k covered) Shocked

And if so where to get them etc for a decent deal.

Any advice appreciated!
Cheers,
Steven 2006 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 HSE.

I mentioned this at my last service (6yr but at 68k miles). The dealer said they inspect them and replace only if necessary. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for your speedy reply RRSTDV8.

I suppose that makes perfect sense!

Refreshing to hear that from a Dealer rather than just blanket replacing for each vehicle.

IMHO, they are not necessary. Never seen one crack or perish etc. Have only ever had to replace them because the brake pipe unions are seized inside them Thumbs Up

Mentioned this and brake fluid replacement when it was in for its 6 year service, and they told me it was not necessary. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

They are genuine LR 2010 diamond turned 20"s, I got them for a good price. Only problem is it costs about £110 to refurb each wheel, due to diamond cut Shocked 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Nice one.
With wheels like that & price for refurb I think 'park an RRS width away from every kerb' is the advice. Smile 2006 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 HSE.
