I hummed and hahed over whether to get a dog guard for mine, but I thought why get a nice quiet car and have a guard rattling away in the back as with previous cars, also wanted a clear view out the back, so I just use a cage( mid sized one) when taking the dog out for a spin. This also stops him putting his mucky paws over the side trim !

Cage no good sorry, dog is over 7 stone and can stand on my shoulders - won't/can't fit in a cage!

I have a LR guard in mine and there is no rattle. Exactly same reason as you for fitting. They're too big to get over seat but can stick there head over and drool on or lick baby. If you get stuck I can picture the bits you need. As already said I would try a dealer for the parts |

I have a transk9 dog cage which fits perfectly and is excellent for our 2 wheaten terriers (each 20kg). Check them out: http://www.transk9.com/index.php/dog_cage/range_rover_sport_2004/

The LR dog guard I have is a fairly solid affair, it is bolted to the car and braced against the C pillar, it will take a fair bit to move it. Oh and it dosn't rattle |

Talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut! , I would just stick it in the wife's handbag in the front!! ![]() To be honest our cocker is only in my car once a fortnight, so a fitted guard would be overkill. My previous guard in the impreza was a solid affair, but every time I went over a bump which was quite often up here, it made a right racket!!
