Honeymoon period wobble a week in - any ideas??

Hi - I have only had the car a week and already having issues. I expected some which is why I bought from a dealer but not a week in. The response from selling dealership is almost worse than the reason for complaint. It's a 61 SDV6 with 52k serviced at same dealer from new. Can anyone help suggest common faults or whether the approved warranty covers such areas of the potential fault sources;

When setting off or just after retardation into a roundabout the throttle is for 1-2secs unresponsive then decides it's ok and goes back to being ok. Both offer cause for concern with people behind on roundabout or when pulling out.

Braking from about 50mph there is a judder through to the steering wheel. The brakes are almost new (maybe chasing a problem before part ex) and should be within dealer limits.

I have asked for service and inspection records but as I bought distance have the right to return within 14days so looking into that. Response from dealer is either come to us (too far) or get problem fixed through warranty (if eligible). All diagnosis costs are yours to pay. Even accused me of heavy braking and using contaminated fuel.

Any help or advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance. Daniel

Ask the dealer to put right. If he can not after one attempt ask for full refund.

Others will know far more about this than me, but .....

I gather the RRS has a 'characteristic'. Pulling away from roundabouts can often be nervewracking as the car remains in the wrong gear, or something. You do get used to it but I gathera remap sorts the problem out. If this is the issue then the dealer probably can't do much to help.

Juddering under braking. Warped brake discs? Are those new too, or just the pads?

Hi - thanks for the replies. I got the car into a dealer (not original supplying dealer as on holiday at the time) There was no fault codes and dealer couldn't replicate the hesitation but on way home and living near MK i get plenty of chances to try it out and it does seem to be gear selection hesitating.

the vibration under breaking was identified as non-genuine pads/discs with corrosion on the brake surface adding to the problem.

all brakes discs/pads replaced FOC and problem sorted.

cheers daniel
