United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
new to RRS

Hi everyone,
I'm new to RRS , and currently own a mitsubishi l200 but am going to part ex it for a RRS TDV8 .Ive looked at a few but one caught my eye at stratstones (main dealers) its on a 07 plate with 68k miles . Are there any common problems i should look for when a take it for a test drive this week . thanks ... Thumbs Up

Hi,, it seems batteries and alternators create a majority of issues,, followed by tailgate switches, brake switches and coolant level sensors...

All of mine having been changed on my 2006 s/c just before i purchased it..read the faults section on here Wink Why?.. Because i can....

Raise and lower the suspension a few times. Put the car in different modes using the terrain response control. Check for faults/errors in the info panel.

Check if the parking brake makes a loud noise when applied/released.

Knocking noise when going over bumps.

I'd have thought a 2007 TDV8 will have the updated coolant bottle design Thumbs Up

@embo
Air Suspension is always worth checking (check it goes up and down when you ask it)

Take it for a drive and check for loud knocks on the front end (bumpy roads).. This may indicate a required lower wishbone assembly.. or at worst a new Dynamic roll bar. (if is shudders after a sharp left right motion of the wheel)

You'll be amased at how smooth (and quiet) the TDV8 is BTW Thumbs Up RRS gone
