Just been to the jet wash to clean the underneath & the wheel arches and noticed 2 weights at the rear corners under the bumper, able to free swing and about 5kgs each. Don't appear to be connected to anything else physically or electrically.

Any ideas what they are for?

Harmonic dampers

I think they help the air suspension by adding some weight to the rear along with the inertia (with them being able to swing freely) to aid the ride  RRS gone
