Australia 2005 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 S Bonatti Grey
In and Out of Access mode

Had my Sport for 6 weeks now and am loving it to death. Just have one question.
When I put it into or out of access height, the car jerks and lurches going up/down one corner at a time. If I select access height while still moving it is almost not noticable. I had figured that the slight camber change and friction between the road and tyres was the cause of the jerkyness, and while moving the suspension could "normalize" and hence the the jerkyness is reduced.
I think I have answered my own question, but it would be foolish not to ask the collective wisdom of this forum RRS '05 4.4 Bonatti Gray Black Leather

If you lower the driver's window, put the park brake on and then reach through the window to change the suspension, you'll see that the front wheels roll forward or backward slightly depending on which way the suspension is moving. Suspension height changes the car's wheelbase dimension slightly. Do that with your foot on the brakes (locking all 4 wheels) and something has to give - hence the jerky feeling. Doing it on the move isn't an issue of course. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

You may find the compressor's just a little bit tired thus exaggerating the "jerkyness" while stationary. RRS gone
