Until they disclose how she died, it's a bit harsh to blame it on the pranksters.

It could just be one of those horrible coincidences that life loves throwing at us. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

But 2 days after being tricked into forwarding a call to the ward, which in turn disclosed personal information about the duchess (and future queen) she's found dead, of a suspected suicide......it would have to be a very bad week for her to be stuck down by some fatal bug... RRS gone

Omg guys, this is so obvious - royal style elimination. I'm just surprised they did it so soon which obviously raises suspicions on who did it. I don't think the DJ are at fault. It's like you feed someone with nuts, but the person dies because he has a massive nut alergy which non of the two was aware of.

Was gobsmacked when i heard this on the news today, such a shame the poor woman felt the need to end her own life because a such small mistake.

I heard this prank call on YouTube before the news came out about the nurses death, and couldn't believe they had actually spoken to anyone, the fake British accent and the fact the "queen" told Charles to feed the bloody corgie's mid conversation should have given the game away as a prank.

I don't think there were any bad intentions in what they did, they were just as shocked as the rest of the world that they had acctually been put through to her room.

I don't think you can really compare an intentional prank which is meant to cause embarrassment to the recipient to somebody with a nut allergy

Sad but....there must be more to this than a simple radio wind up phone-call....has no one in the UK has ever played a radio prank? It was no better or worse than many other (stupid) pranks and wasn't even very funny but i have questions:

Why did the hospital not have a switchboard operator on duty?
Why did the King Edward 7th expect a nurse to answer the call?
Why didn't the hospital take any additional precautions knowing that anyone could have called, paparazzi?
Why didn't the Royal Protection officers not set up a special line when Kate was admitted?
Why wasn't there a password to get put through?

No one thinking? Too many cutbacks?

How unbelievable with all of today's privacy concerns and technology that two Aussies pretending to be Royals with a third barking in the background pretending to be a corgi could slip through the whole "system".

Of course, now I expect to get flamed with the traditional British stiff upper lip indignation.....respect for future Queen, Royalty etc, but I don't personally really have any respect for the Monarchy since it imbues social class.

It has nothing to do with respect for a future king and Queen, the question is there about the idiots who are 'dj's' who 'pose' as parents of a patient& whether these idiots like it or not , they are indirectly to blame for the death of this nurse, who has literally been shamed to death.....

Pranks are pranks, meant to amuse at someone's expense, maybe, but not malicious. Some of your very own British radio hosts have been playing them for years to amuse "half wit listeners" and probably still do.

This prank should have been knocked on the head quickly by procedures established to protect the "Royal" patient (or any patient).

The Management and Administration of the King Edward 7th hospital which regularly has "Royal" patients should know better.

It is those who failed to establish suitable procedures and so caused a front line nurse to take the call who should be going for a spell in the Tower!

Whilst I agree that the hoist all were remiss in not having the correct measures in place to avoid this incident( they will no doubt have some sort of excuse) my point is that these ' jokers' who have carried out this mindless ' prank' at someone else's expense have been party to a very sad event which ends in tragedy.
The hospital cannot be fully to blame as they were the subject of the ' prank' not the perpetrator(s)...... So ,with no instigator of this stupid call to ' amuse' their listeners ( many of whom have already condemned their actions, so they are not all mindless, or maybe they were not listeners after all) .
There are of course the same idiots in the UK as there are in every country, if we don't encourage trash TV and Radio, then there would be no need for these type of idiots in the media, who probably make good salaries from being fools..........
