Finally Pick Up The Sport Today!

As you may know, I originally joined this forum for my dad. He is a weapon on an iPad, but is not computer literate at all and therefore not very good at forums. So I joined up here as it always great for advice to join a forum that specialise in the subject. Anyway my dad purchase 57 reg Sport as a part exchange at my friends overfinch dealership in Berkshire. It was in good form but my dad wanted some things done to bring it up to standard. So the following was done.

Bumper had a couple of stone chips so front bumper, wing mirrors and rear bumper were completely re painted.
Brand you side steps.
Brand new 22'' wheels.
Brand you side repeaters.
All wood removed from interiors and replaced with piano black trim.
Range rover badges front & back repainter to colour code.

So will get some pictures up by 5pm today, but this car is having some major detailing done to it, so will be showing you how to make it look beyond brand new!

Be back at 5pm:) Always clean.

Hi, I do a lot of work for overfinch so it was completed for a very cheap price. As for what they charge I have no idea. Ill ask later:)
The car has had no detailing but I will be on it quite soon. For now I will just post pictures up on collection later this afternoon:)

Cheers Guys Always clean.

When I first saw it, it looked like it had a turquoise tinge in it. But saw it yesterday and just looked silver! Lol Always clean.

Forget the plates as the log book hasnt come back for my dads private plate yet.

I will get ones of the interior tomorrow to show you the piano black but it does make a world of difference removing the horrible wood trim.

As for detailing, this is whats being done:

INTERIOR

Roof lining cleaned with the tornado gun.
All carpets steam cleaned on the prochem system.
All plastics degreased, dried and protected with swissvax matte.
Dashboard protected with G-Techniq dash matte.
Door rubbers degreased, dried and protected with swissvax rubber feed.
Seats degreased, steamed, dried and fed with swissvax leather feed and elephant fat.
All interior glass cleaned with megs window cleaner.
Pedels degreased and dried.
Piano black trim rotary polished with blue 3m pad and ultrafina.

ENGINE BAY

Completely cleaned with the dry ice machine.
All plastic engine parts and covers protected with G-Techniq C4
Under hood degreased, washed, dried, hand polished with jeffs werstatt acryllic prime. Then protected with Dodo juice supernatural Hybrid.

EXTERIOR BODY

Full decontamination including:

Inside shuts degreased, cleaned and washed.
Grilles, shuts, badges and gaps, degreased, scrubbed and washed.
Complete snow foam.
Washed using 2bm with dodo juice born to be mild.
Full chemical bath with iron x and re washed.

Dried with 70/30 towels.
Shuts, gaps, badges, grilles dried with warm air blower.
Full claybar system with dodo juice gentle grey clay and Megs last touch for lube.
Tar removal with tardis spot checks.
Full ipa wipe down to remove silicone and clay sling.

Paint corrected with:
LC wool pad and megs 105.
LC ccs orange polishing pad and megs 205
LC ccs red pad and ultrafina.

Paint work I havnt decided on yet. Either G-Techniq C1 Crystal lacquer coating with G-techniq EXO Hybrid coating over the top.

OR....

3 coats of swissvax crystal rock over 3 days (24 curing time for each coat)

Glass will be clayed, full ipa wipedown with G-techniq G1 glass coating

Exhausts will be cleaned with iron x and then polished with mothers polish on a mothers power ball on the makita.

WHEELS

Remove off the car.
Calipers are going black, hubs the same silver as the car with silver replaced brembo emblems.
Arches degreased and dressed with chemical guys bare bones.
Wheels will be cleaned off the car and the following will be completed.

Snowfoamed.
Tyres degreased with surfex HD and scrubbed with a tyre brush.
Wheels cleaned with bilberry and rinsed.
Wheels cleaned with iron x and rinsed.
Wheels dried with the warm air blower.
Wheels treated for tar with tardis.
Wheels clayed.
Full ipa wipedown inside and out.
Then 2 coats of G-techniq C5 inside and out.
Back on and torque up to correct setting.
Tyres dressed with swissvax PNEU (MATTE, SHINEY TYRES ARE A BIG NO NO)

Cant wait to get cracking, will take about 6-7 days.

Also will have pressed number plates for the our pricate plate too.

Also going to modify the rear tail pipes and boxes so the pipes angle down and out through a hole of the tailpipes. Just like the new autobiography has.

and then just changing the side lights, side repeaters, number plate lights and interior lights to l.e.d. and it will be complete!

Update soon guys and hope you like, comments good and bad welsome;)

Cheers Mike Always clean.

Looking very nice Mike Thumbs Up i like the colour coded scheme, but i can't understand why the bottom trim on the tailgate wasn't colour coded Confused personally i would delete the land rover badge on the left hand side of the tailgate then fit some 2012 model rear lights and bring it a bit more upto date especially if its having a private plate on. Thumbs Up Excellent choice of products you are using Thumbs Up

Hi

Because we ran out of money lol. The rear boot lid and. Rear lights will be definitely happening as it will look better. But it is booked in with overfinch at the end of January to have the Entire interior trimmed in cream leather cross stitched inc the roof lining. So as a bit of spare money comes these things will be done. All in good time:) Always clean.
