Coolant Leak

Got a low coolant warning the other day, upon inspection I've found a damp area with drip on the underside of the car behind the tow eye cover on the right chassis leg looking from the front. Can't see where the leak is coming from, looked from top and bottom! Anyone any ideas what could be leaking? 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Coolant Leak...

My RR had a leak from the lower front N/S area. When i checked it I couldnt find anything obvious.
On further inspection,I removed a small plastic cover from inside the wheel arch area on the passanger side front (held in place by 4 plastic clips). This exposes the bottom corner of the cooling radiator. From here a small "U" bend shaped rubber hose is connected that goes through a bulkhead to the front of the car and is connected to a cooler called the fuel cooler. This small rod like cooler with square vanes can be seen from the front of the car at the bottom of the coolant rad through the bottom opening in the bumper.
One end of this fuel cooler (driver side)is straight and has a hose connected, on the other end (passsanger side) it has a 90 degree bend heading toward the rear through the said bulkhead and connected to the "U" bend hosing. On my RR this alloy cooler had split on the radius of the bend and was very hard to see as there is also a small piece of rubber sleeving on this radius like a cover ???
I disconnected the cooler (engine off, cool) and lost about 1 litre of coolant to replace with new one.
Check this cooler out first,I have a part number if needed..............

thanks for the reply. I've taken the cover off in the N/S Wheel arch and reveiled the botom hose which was wet but it seems to becomin g from a smaller pipe above. Not sure what this pipe is. Got 3 months warrenty on the car so think i may take it back to the dealer and get it sorted propoerly. Not a lot of room in there to work!!! 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Car booked in with garage to repair under warranty. Leak is very slow so not overly concerned at minute. Just need to keep an eye on it 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers
