I have bought the factory DRL kit for my 2010 TDV8. They indicate 2 hours to install which includes removing the front bumper, cutiing it, feeding wiring looms into the car and cutting wires inside and making connections. I think more like a whole day.

Has anyone fitted one of these yet, if so what problems should I be aware of?

I actually quite like the OEM ones, but for the best part of £500, I think they are a right royal rip off.

Actually the cost in my part of the world is not that bad. I paid the equivalent of around 100,000 pounds for a basic TDV8 with a bit of fruit.

The quality of the kit is good, but it is also very complex. I can imagine the cost of development was quite high and the price reflects a low sales volume.

I always thought those DRLs were aftermarket jobbies, never realised they were actual Land Rover items. They do look good, but certainly not £500 worth of good !

Circa £500 when I looked at getting them spec'd a year ago  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
