United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

Back to the OP with regards tyre pressures, I remember having a similar debate over different tyres for my sierra cosworth. Each manufacturer makes tyres differently and they therefore have different parameters within the overall speed, etc... rating of the tyre.

Some may have softer shoulders than others, I did find a calculator somewhere for figuring out the right pressure given a number of values, weight of the car, etc... but I can't remember where. Also finding the detailed parameters for each and every tyre was pretty difficult.

In other words, the LR recommended pressures are probably only really appropriate for the original fitment rubber, not just any old tyre.

I went from Goddyear to Pirelli and agree, they are also much quieter and smoother Thumbs Up RRS 2010

the solution is to dump the Contis and get some Toyos instead. They show no signs of shoulder wear and I enjoy my roundabouts Thumbs Up ============

I had contis on all my sports, and lasted 5 k miles before showing signs of bald edges. Last time I changed to Scopions and 15000 miles later they still have 3-4 mm on them completely evenly. Contis are soft and give good grip but at 1000 a set. I prefer more mileage per pound. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
