I am looking at purchasing our first rrs and am not sure what is better the tdv8 2011 or the sdv6 2012
The price difference between the two is quite a lot

First of all, they stopped production of the TDV8 in 2010 so the chances of you getting a 2011 TDV8 i think is nil, i don't know of any being registered in 2011 The SDV6 however is a great engine and isn't that far off the TDV8 performance wise but the MPG is way better, i'm getting between 28-30 MPG going from A-B in my SDV6 which i think is very good out of a 2.5 tonne vehicle However if you prefer the TDV8 try taking a test drive of both the TDV8 & the SDV6 back to back then see which makes sence for your needs, either way, they are both great engines just remember with the TDV8 everything is dearer, fuel costs, insurance costs and servicing costs Good luck with your search

Thanks for your reply ady but I meant a 2011 tdv6 .the reason for the question is dealer cannot fine a late used sdv6 in the spec we want at the right price but has a tdv6

Which dealer is this just out of intrest? I would try James or Steve from LPR site sponsors, http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic25314.html They usually have some great specced management cars that they offer to forum members first with a great discount Might be worth giving them a shout, they are a well respected dealer on here.
