qwik fit

Corker today.

Car in a qwik fit for a service (had good service from these guys and they are getting there prices right)

Anyway £180 full service including specialised oil, so not a bad price. (8 spark plugs and the oil added up to a few quid so thought I wouldn't get my hands dirty) anyway.

Manger phoned and said he couldn't reset the service numbers on the dash ! good start but gets me free wipers:)

he then rings to say he cannot do the service because he hasn't got a tool to get the spark plugs out..... WTF !

anyway he's already changed the oil..

So turns out I get a free set of wipers, and an oil change for FREE.

So not sure if this is good or not, as now I have a half cocked service, but new oil, and wipers..... Big Cry If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed.

I was actually saying it to myself, not asking someone else to say it, the joys of misinterpretation Smile

Anyway, a year ago i would agree, but they have been pretty good and prices are ok now, My train of though is that if they drop the car of the ramp, they will have a few quid to sort out the mess, a chain of command to shout at, smaller independent garages I just don't get the same confidence from. probalby because we seem to have a shortage of garages round here.

its a mine field, just rang landranger in Atherton, big on land rovers as this is all they do, eat Censored and breath land rover, the guy who answered the phone told me to ring back as he had never taken a spark plug out of a 4.2 S/C so wouldn't know if they could do it................ I am hoping when I ring back that he was sweeper upper... If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed.

I assumed changing a few plugs and oil was simple , clearly not as the guys bicycle box spanner didn't fit Whistle If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed.

I had one experience with s Censored tfit, they priced matched a local company for 2 x 19" PZero's on my Audi.
All they had to do was remove the existing, fit new tyres, and balance, simple you would have thought and part of their bread and butter. Not so. Took them 3 attempts, first time they didn't fit the correct rotation, then one wasn't balanced.....absolutly shocking Shocked ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

a mate had them do something on his brakes, when finished and was driving up to the Lakes, brakes failed and his brake pedal was just hitting the floor not stopping, very luckily he pulled the hand brake and used a farmers track which was off the right hand bend to stop otherwise it would have been a different ending with twisted metal.

Censored -Fits it response to it was very poor and not bothered about it, even though it was shown to be something they had done wrong

got to admit from my rear view mirror, his face was a picture of shock and terror, like nothing i have seen in a movie, I was Rolling with laughter my arse off at it for weeks after
