Had a remap done 15K ago and had been fantastic and no black smoke UNTIL a small split in the intercooler air hose. Don't assume the remap makes the smoke it may just accentuate an existing (small) problem with a very visual symptom. I'm no expert but I agree the remap is great but it doesn't lead to black smoke in my view... 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE in Artic Frost. 20" 2010 HST Alloys, sidesteps, Hawke tips, plus minor bits and bobs along with a remap. Four spike spiders ready for the Alps again now tucked up in their garage boxes...
