United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
There are still nice people out there!!!

Got a phone call on Thursday about 14.30hrs.
I could hear traffic in the background, I knew there was going to be a problem with my parents who where driving to Manchester airport, anyway my father had had a blow out in his FFRR which is no big deal so he started changing his wheel and the bl00dy genuine Land Rover jack collapsed Exclamation Censored
I jump in my RRS TDV8 and race(at the speed limit guvner Mr. Green ) down the M62 with a proper Bluepoint jack to get him changed. Managed to get him on his way to his 17.00 flight by about 15.30 but he still had an hour drive ahead and there's loads of 50MPH on M62 at the minute, he called ahead to APH car parking(Sharston road Manchester) to let them know what had gone on and the nice man there met my parents at the airport and drove his car back to the car park for him.
You dont get service like that now very often but I'd just like to big up APH Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

There's no way I'd even attempt changing a wheel with the jack supplied. When I called out LRA for a park brake issue he said don't even bother trying to change a wheel, call us which is exactly what I did when I had a blow out. They use a trolley jack, much safer.

Has your dad got road side assistance from either LR or the likes of the AA, if not maybe he should.....

Good that he was helped out though Thumbs Up 2015 Golf R DSG

I have used the supplied jack and it was ok. The winding handle is rubbish though, that's for sure. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I regularly used to swap all four wheels using the LR jack - it's far from sturdy but I don't understand why so many fail Question ============
2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa
2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable
============
2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!

Yes it's a 60 plate so has LR assist but I think he just thought I would be able to get there a lot quicker.
