I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you will struggle to get £1k for it.

Of all the millions of plates on the internet very few change hands if you look on ebay at how many actually sell it is very very few, and prices are very low.

I have 17 WW, 5555 WW & 555 VV all for sale but you need to play the long game as reg numbers can take anything from 6 moths to 5 years to sell, they will only sell once you can find a buyer with the right initials & that takes time & they always go to the likes of Reg transfers first

Good luck

Regards

What Paul said, I bought a reg plate a few years ago thinking it was a bargain and I could easily double my money on it. Reality turned out to be quite different, I have had it advertised with various number plate companies for years and it is still for sale. I would now even be happy to break even on it.

On the other hand I finally managed to get the reg I really wanted from a DVLA auction and I would have been prepared to go considerably higher than what I got it for. There are no hard and fast rules with regs (unless you own DAV 1D) or something).

pm sent probably too much bit like shuzzy bought a bit on a whim, and get grief from my wife everytime she drives it as I illegally space it to say W rather than V V.

Saying all that we put WBS number plates on all our vans standard DVLA £250 jobbie including the trf fee & they are a good advertising tool

Good luck in the sale I just think you need to be a tad more realistic in your valuation.

Now if anyone has a PJB number Thumbs Up Paul

Problem is though Jonny, people change cars, also it's too young a plate, so your market is/was limited. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I know.........completely agree with all the posts here...........you get valuations from the likes of regtransfers etc......you just try selling the plate for even half of what they value it at!!

I have been trying to get a decent (2 number 2 letter) plate for a few years now at online dvla auctions, keep getting outbid by £100 and then regtransfers try to sell it me for 5 times the price a week later Censored Censored Censored Censored

It's all a fix.

I bought a plate yesterday funnily enough - nothing special at all, but has my initials (....and I can't bear seeing 62 plates when I have a 61!!!! Whistle Embarassed ).

Managed to get 60% off the price that regtransfers wanted originally.
I just stuck a cheeky offer in online, that was rejected, then waited for them to call me. Left it on the table for a couple of weeks and then got another call yesterday saying the guy had 'reluctantly' accepted. Laughing
If it had been a reasonable price in the first place, I would have paid the asking, but people seem to think they can charge what they like Rolling Eyes ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
