2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Standard dealer procedure...

Was hoping for a bit of advice...

Basically I noticed one side of the car was sitting lower than the other

I had this same problem back in July and it was fixed under warrantee. Less than 2 months later I noticed it sitting at an angle again. Took it in to the same dealer and they said they would look at it.

I've just received a call saying its fixed, it just needed a recalibration. I say, I presume it's covered by warrantee to which they reply no. It'll be 118 quid.

2 things really...

Doing the work without asking - surely that's not cricket?!
And also... A recalibration would surely be covered under warrantee, especially if it was in for a similar problem less than 2 months ago???

Any advice please guys?

Agree, not advising of the cost and just carrying out the work = not on. Sad

If it needed work only 2 months after the last time, I'd be questioning if they did it correctly before. Talk to them and explain things, I'm sure they are just trying it on - good luck Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

If your car had work done 2 months ago and since the warranty expired, then so did the warranty on the work cared out, unless you contributed towards it

I think it will depend on what wording was on the forms when your dropped it off, they might have worded that under X amount they will proceed in the small print

I would have thought they would have called you though Confused

It's still under warrantee for another 6 months! I'll check what I signed when I go and collect it tomorrow!

Haha. Great idea. I'll be going down tomorrow to have it out. They're all absolute idiots. The car was brought from LPR but I live 80 miles away so not easy to take it back to them!

It's hartwell in Northampton. Absolute morons. Last time I booked it in they tried telling me.. "but sir, I'll think you find the range rover sports never make a clicky noise when indicating"

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I've used Hartwells Oxford for several warranty issues and they sound much the same their Northampton cousins. I'm thinking of using the dealer in Stratford next time even though the two Hartwell garages are slightly more convenient for work. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I appreciate that it is a bit of a trek, but you know we'd have recaliberated it FOC for you.

Let me know if you need any assistance, although it sounds like the work has been carried out already.

Thanks mate. This is the last time I take it there!

Is it standard to carry out work without asking permission??

No. But it does depend on what you signed and the Terms & Conditions when you left it with them.

Good luck with it.

Update! Went to dealers. Had a row with the usual dickhead we have the displeasure of talking too. Ended up talking to sales manager and getting work done foc.

Happy me.

The said dickhead couldn't help himself, after going through checklist tried selling me 2 new front tyres even though they're sitting at 5mm and new front disks and Pads at 50pc worn!!!

Get this, for the bargain price of 1004!

Hmmm, no thanks mate

From now on I'll be making the 80 mile drive to LPR!

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Ahhhh....I went to Hartwell N'hants as they are only a few mile down the road from me when I wanted to buy a RRS.

After chatting to the sales guy (ex Police) I turned down a test drive and went straight over to Stratstones in Milton Keynes. I know that folk on here slag them off no end, but I have to say that I have been very happy with the service I received before, during and after my purchase.
