Rear lower tailgaite moulding - differences between years?

I've picked up a rear painted item but after comparing both of them one if at least twice as wide and sits out proud from the tailgate by some 3"!

Is this an HST or otherwise?

Perhaps my 56 plate tailgate changes shape on the 2010 models?
