I'm booked in on 14th PM, so I'll see you there VA. Sorry, got the g/f with me, so can't offer up guest place to anyone here. Did Eastnor Castle recently and was most impressed with offroad ability, so looking forward to some more offroad, even if it is slightly "tame". Also looking forward to high speed test track. Pity they won't let us drive that, but then I suppose letting a bunch of nutters loose with a posse of 60 grand cars at high speed is asking for trouble.

Yes, you're all given a car (a new HST) and the sat nav is programmed with a route. You follow this route, which is approx 14 miles. Then you set to the next pre-programmed destination, which is another 5 or 6 miles. This is a layby. You then swap drivers and select the next destination, which again is approx 14 miles. You then select the final 'home' destination which takes you back. Note: That the first driver gets the best drive. It is mostly country roads - therefore lots of cornering and accelerating. The second driver gets mosting the M40 drive back, which is boring. As we were the leading car and a long way in ahead, I did a detour and added another 7 or 8 miles to my drive on the back roads around Gaydon. It meant I got to try it on the country roads too. Is it all meant to be in convoy then? What's to stop you doing your own thing, if you know the locality?

Nothing. I did. We all left at the same time and to be honest, we only saw two others arive at the change over point as we were pulling away. We had also taken photos of the car at the change over point, so we were obviously 'testing' the car more than the others. Just got back from Gaydon. Fantastic morning, lunch was very nice and the young ladies looking after us were very pleasant. Met Dick from the factory visit.
