It's not common for the turbos to fail completely, but is common for problems with electronic control units to fail which control the vari- vain adjustment. Mine has had both replaced at different times, both for electronic failure. The bill sounds high, the job involved removing the body to access turbos, that's 18 hours book time. If doing both then it's only another hour. The turbos are grand a bit so hard to see 9. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

He's got to replace the cats too. Not cheap. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
