Hats off to both of these. My beloved TDV8 was suffering from a whine which was traced to failed front diff. The car is 5 years old and owned by me from new and never fitted with large wheels which is apparently a major contributer to these type of failures. Looking at a bill well into thousands as out of guarantee, a contribution was negotiated and my baby is in the process of having faulty bits replaced.
I think I will invest in a warrantee now, but faith re-installed with Land Rover after some dubious calls in the past including the "operational noise" from front end that was solved with new anti roll bar and mountings.
