Oversized rectangle rear plate is the way to go....... Std size is too small IMHO, but are cheaper to produce hence why some dealers will supply them from new.

LRUK registered/run vehicles are always fitted with the oversized versions on the rear.

530mm x 150mm for the authentic OEM look! Wink

If you look further into number plates then there are two different types of finish too. The original and best looking (again IMHO) are printed with a clear plastic front, effectively laminating the plate. There are cheaper methods where the characters are printed directly onto a think plate with no plastic cover. To the reg plate insane like myself you can see a slight texture to them. Shocked

Ady - you're incorrigible !!! Very Happy

I want the rectangular oversize ones I think (which James mentions) but I'm thinking 3D.... possibly. This is my RRS and I want the same type of plates again.

Also, if you get them off website you don't need V5C as I gave that to the local DVLA office today. They said I can switch plates as soon as the tax disc arrives (they reckon 7 days) but the V5C comes from Swansea - so upto 4 weeks.

Thank you all Thumbs Up

OK Demon plates do 535 mm x 152 mm so I think that will fit fine as back plate. Now it's asking me for a slogan..... err think I might just leave it blank..... Question

Make sure whatever you buy has a BSAU number otherwise they are in the eye of the law illegal and just show plates.

Hi Emma.

James is right make sure the plate has a BSAU number, depends where you are the police can get quite funny about it (found them checking mine a couple of weeks ago, said they were cracking down on misuse of plates ?)

When your Tax Disc comes back you'll get a Number Plate Authorisation Certificate with it, take this in with ID and they'll make your plates. Martyn

Very Happy I got large rectangular plate for back, single black border, black 3D letters and no slogan..... thanks everyone - you've been really helpful Thumbs Up
