Bean hits the nail on the head - the companies were offered tax dodges as a way to get them to sign up to "support" the Olympics. No business is going to turn down a legal way of keeping some of its money for shareholders rather than the tax man.

To be fair all of this and the whole Jimmy Carr thing..........if someone offered me a legal way to pay less tax or no tax I would take it without any moral issues.

+1 Jonny, but the problem comes when you want to retire, there won't be enough coffers in the pot to pay you because all the scumbags are taking it now while we still provide for them. |
