Rats eating my RRS

Hi Guys

I went o drive off in my 2012 RRS and an error light came on with "Restricted Performance". I have had a few problems so i assumed the RRS was at fault.

Anyway long story short, had to eat humble pie as the problem was rats chewing cables going to the exhaust sensors (Cat and Particle filter). (Come on - someone do a cat/rat joke)

Not sure how much the damage has cost yet - also need to find a way of stopping it happening again.

I live in the suburbs and car is left on drive, not stuck in a barn on a farm where rats are plentiful!!

Hello,
I believe that was a marten. It`s a common problem here in our region. Think about electronic device for that.

Mice ate through the fuel outlet pipe where it comes out of the tank and on a separate occasion through the fuel return pipe from the injectors. The car lives outside and we've got 2 cats! I'd be unstoppable - if I could just get started
