Warrentywise. Good or bad?

The general consensus on here seams to be between LR direct warranty and warranty direct. The LR policy looks good until you get over 5 years or 75k then the cover drops. The warranty wise warranty looks good at full cover for 2k for 2 years with a maximum claim of 5k per claim. I am looking at a 2007/8 tdv8 around 60-80k on the clock

Comments welcome

Don't forget that the age/mileage limits on the LR warrany only apply on the day the policy is purchased. So just because the car will be 5 years old / 75k miles at some point in the very near future, it's ok. Might be worth factoring that into your car purchase plans... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Warranty Direct and Warranty Wise are two separate companies.

I went with Warranty Direct, main dealer labour rates covered plus cover for MOT failures and more importantly consequential damage.

Claims unlimited up to the value of the vehicle

Hi mikey7985,

Sorry for the delay in responding.

It worked out at 1456 for two years and includes, franchised dealer labour rates, consequential damage, emissions and airbags covered, wear and tear cover, in car entertainment, catalytic converter , hotel expenses and car hire

Went for this one mainly for the consequential damage cover, made two claims on a previous vehicle with no problems.

Im still trying to find the right car so haven't done anything yet. The price included their emissions and air conditioning add ons. No excess and labour rate of up to 200 per hour They emailed me today offering free MOT cover if I took it out today!

Ah forgot the MOT failures and the labour rate is max of £250. I think Warranty Direct was the only one with the consequential damage option. They do offer a slight discount if you agree to longer periods of cover ie 2 or 3 years as opposed to just 1 year MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

I had the Landrover warranty last year but have just changed to Warranty Wise, I went along to my local Landrover Indy and asked the manager what in his view was the best aftermarket warranty, he said from their experience Warranty Wise were the best at paying out!

I hope I don't need to find out!

The cost eventually came down to £650 with a max claim of £8000 and labour upto £200/hour, everything mentioned above is covered including consequential damage.

Jim
