Standard for the 636 is 1650kg on its standard weight plate, I've asked for the increase plate to give me extra payload

I would personally keep the sport, it is will be better for the boot space, amazing how much you carry in the boot to keep the van weight down |

Honest question - why do you need to keep the van weight down? The RRS weighs 2.5t and pulls 3.5t. 50kg in the van wouldn't appear to be much of an issue to me as someone who doesn't pull caravans.

The larger vans are more sensitive to nose weight/height than a horsebox.

Ah, thanks awd, that makes sense I suppose. I thought one was supposed to put a weighing scale under the jockey wheel, check the nose weight and move stuff around in the van as required? I can see how it's easier to chuck stuff in the car boot instead though!

You want to see the caravans they tow with the RRS/D3/D4 over here, I nearly fell over when my neighbour told me the noseweight of his 3.5t retirement villa. 300kgs |

![]() ![]() In my current "experience, every van likes a slightly different nose weight, so following the recommended values isn't always the best option. 300kgs ouch Mike! RRS gone Audi SQ5...Gone Audi Q7 S-Line 240 3.0TDI Gone Audi A6 Allroad Sport 270 3.0TDI |
