Gearbox shunt into first gear??

Been happening now for a while, as im driving and coming to a halt ie lights, roundabout etc with my foot on the brake slowing to a stop the car shunts a little as it selects a first gear? Is there a solution for this ie software update or even replacing oil n filter in the gearbox?

There is a software update that "may" fix this...

It sounds more like you need a gearbox flush Thumbs Up RRS gone

Spain

Not quite sure what you mean by shunt, do you mean backlash / slack in the drive train???
If going slowly virtually stopping and pulling away, do you get what is felt as backlash / slack in the drive train, if so, try and leave the car in sport mode, if the backlash / slack is no longer felt, then I understand that there is a software patch to remedy this.

Remember the car never selects first gear only second In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

i suppose there is no harm in changing the fluid and filter first, surely all gearbox oils should be changed at some point?
especially after 60k

The biggest problem is LR transmission oil is £20 a litre (do not be temped with anything other than this) RRS gone

as LR do not make Oil, you can always buy from the firm that makes it, i believe its Millers, but could be wrong 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

The oil is refined by Esso I think

Many gearbox centres will insist it to be TYK500050 otherwise you risk all sorts of issues

Here is the genuine stuff
