I purchased the car from a dealer in Halifax, which is over a 100 miles from me. I went to them because they were by far the best deal. I am trying to deal with the local dealer for the problems, to save me from having to keep going to Halifax.

All very difficult, but i'm going to try another dealer now.

The one in Halifax is great Thumbs Up Its a shame they arn't all like that, send ChrisP a message http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/member1805.html he is from your neck of the woods, infact i think he lives in the woods judging by the pictures he posts Laughing He might be able to advise on the good the bad and the ugly dealers in your area Thumbs Up

I've had my own problems in this respect ( faulty battery failed two hours after delivery) but it was all sorted out. I put this down to a great extent to the intervention of LR customer relations. They were originally involved by LR Recovery (the AA) to say there had been an issue with a brand new car and they couldn't have been more helpful.

Although I was pretty irate about the whole thing it wasn't that that made the difference- they were just very efficient in putting a rocket up the dealer, sorting out hire cars etc and following it up.

Maybe it made the difference that mine had actually broken down, but it would do no harm to give them a ring and see what reaction you get. The numbers are on the LR website.

Oh, and I'm really happy with mine now. Thumbs Up

Hope you get it sorted soon. Rod

I thought I would post an update on my collection of problems! I decided to stop using Hunters as they are simply awful. LR customer complaints have been helpful and I have found a really good dealer, who is only 30 minutes away. The dealer is Sturgess in Leicester. The Glove Box lid is fixed and now the same colour as the rest of the dash...amazing! The touch screen is fixed and the steering pull sorted. I now only have one problem, which is minor. So, I guess the answer is to find a good dealer, but that is easier said than done! Oh and finally, I have received a small amount of compensation from LR.

Really please to hear that you got everything sorted out.
Not surprised about the dealer,I've only been once that was as a potential buyer of a really nice V8 HST just before I bought my current one.
Had a look at the car it was just what I wanted and 1 careful lady local Company Director owner, the salesman was about 18 and hadn't got the authority to do a deal so I asked to see the Sales Manager, waited about 15 minutes, young lad comes back and says its the price on the windscreen and no discount and the manager won't come down to discuss Rolling Eyes
Thought it must be a negotiation ploy so walked out, had another look around the car thinking somebody would come over for a chat but no,bought a brand new one the week after ,their loss Thumbs Up MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

i viewed alot of range rovers before i finally found the one i was happy with and to be quite honest some of the dealers seemed like they didnt care whether they sold you the car or not . Your there willing to potentially spend £25k + and they just have a dont give a f Censored k attitude. But as i said , finally found a good one in the end and after a lot of sighs and head rubs they even put 6 months tax on it for me .. which saved me a few quid as its in the higher tax bracket Very Happy ..sounds like its definately worth shopping around to find a genuinely good dealer who isnt a lazy b Censored d ! Laughing
