looking for new exhaust

I'm looking for some new tailpipes for my 2.7 TDV6.
Found some great straight pipes at a lokal dealer but I think it will be to far "under" the bumper. I would like it to be more integrated to the bumper.

The dealer said that they could trim the exhaust area up to the parkingsensors to make it more OEM.

Question 1: Will the sensors go of when the pipes are so close?
Question 2: Anyone done the trim before please share Smile

There appear to be a lot of aftermarket performance exhaust suppliers in the UK (assuming you mean aftermarket) and I would think some of them might ship to your location, at your cost.

With regards to the sensors, I doubt they will detect an extra few inches protruding past the lower bumper trim. Easy way to test, get some cardboard tube or something similar and tape it to either underneath the plastic trim or to the sides of the existing tailpipes.

As you have the 2.7 I guess you'll have downward facing exhaust Question
If so, you choices are a little more limited. There are ones out there that look like they are straight back, but in fact allow the gases out underneath still.

I'll try and find you a link Smile
Edit: Here you go Thumbs Up or not sure if awd's do the same Confused in which case Hawke are an option too (try Martin @ sponsors DCC4x4) ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

^^^ That Miltek was Johnnyopolis's, he's sold that RRS now. I believe he had the full Miltek on it and an AMD Remap Cool .

Worth taking a look at sherlocks thread too on his tailored Pipeworxs exhaust.

I know what you mean about the downward exhaust, but I can imagine its only noticable on cold morning and upon start up, maybe someone who has one fitted will comment Confused ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I got an overfinch system, starting from the bottom of the manifold, all the way through. Overfinch had to manufacture a new jig for the 2010 TDV8, so mine is the only one and it sounds awesome. Before I picked it up, I phoned Overfinch and asked for a description of sound. He said, it sounds like normal at the front, but like a 5.0 supercharged petrol from the rear.... Pricey, but well worth it.

I put a pair of factory Supercharged rear mufflers on mine. Took 10 minutes to replace and weld new ones on. Looks terrific! mike murphy

Quad pipes fitted

Got quad pipe tips fitted on my 2.7. They are on a slight down angle due to the lack of space (original rear mufflers still) i took the front muffler out and replaced it with straight pipe. Results: Sounds amazing and lumpy on idle without the noise being too much within the cabin but outside of the cabin the note is clearly noticeable! Love it!
