Hood Open ....... Alarm Siren

Hi guys.

I've been living with this problem for a while now and it is really annoying Censored

Although the Hood cover is firmly closed, I sometimes get "HOOD OPEN" on my display screen
while driving. The message just comes and goes. It does not stay on.

After that, when the car is parked and locked with the RC. After a while (few minutes, or 1 hour, or 2 hours, ...)
the ALARM just goes ON and my RRS wakes up the entire neighborhood until I shut it down with the lock button
on the RC.

This keeps happening almost everyday, at work, at home, ... everywhere.

What could be wrong and can I fix it myself or do I need to take it to the dealer?

had this on my Disco

you need to locate the bonnet switch sensor (I think it's on the right hand bonnet catch)

Un plug it, and stick a paper clip in each terminal (loom side plug not catch side)

see if that solves the problem... if it does then yo'll need a new bonnet catch sensor which are not expensive at all. RRS gone
