![]() I use my vehicle for work and that involves visiting construction sites - hence some of the kit (camera/torches/knife/hand wipes/first aid kit etc.). I'm in my car a lot so the phone charger is also useful as modern smartphones eat batteries if you actually use them for anything! The road atlas is a throwback/back up. Some stuff (such as NT handbook, chewing gum, tissues (steady!! ![]() ![]() Other stuff is in there because I'm just used to carrying stuff in cars over the years e.g. screen wash (I use a lot of screen wash as I don't like a dirty windscreen), spare bulbs etc. Having proper spare bulbs is massively important in the RRS. It's so prone to throwing it's toys around if a bulb blows as we've seen on so many threads hereabouts. I used my tow rope this winter to pull a van out of a snowy verge after he rather politely puller over to let me by - even though I was in the 4x4. Daft! So I felt it only reasonable to get him back on the tarmac! ![]() Almost all of the stuff is in two easily removed containers (one plastic box for wellies etc. and one Halfords boot tidy). Both are bungeed in the corners against the back seats so there is plenty of room for stuff like shopping to go in too. Taking the boxes out and removing the dog guard takes less than 5 minutes. Which was useful this weekend when I needed to collect a new chicken coop for our broody hen. ![]() If I just used my vehicle to advertise that I have car washing OCD (as some in here seem to ![]() ![]() ![]() 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
