I'd like to know if anyone has a tip on removing the Phone Cradle, especially the wiring; I would like to remove it to have more storage room as I am using the Bluetooth and don't need the cradle.

A member on rangerovers.net took the "vasectomy" approach and cut the whole harness off at the base of the lid (makes you want to cross your legs, doesn't it ) to eliminate both receptacle and wires. If you are sure you will never use the cradle in the future, you might as well do that, no need to dismantle cooler box or center console. Severing the wires will not affect operation of the Bluetooth portion of the system. |

I seriously doubt that the handful of cradled phones supported by Land Rover will be around by the time these cars are sold (as used). At least here in the US, it is already next to impossible to find carriers that support such relics, and I don't see Land Rover rushing new cradles on the market. In fact, I don't think they have introduced any new cradles at all since PTI came out, well before the Sport launch... Nobody is going to miss/need/want these cradles in a couple of years, especially if Bluetooth gets better integration in the future.
