Living in sunny SE London (Lewisham), I was very pleasantly surprised to get a f/comp quote from Admiral for £780, Lewisham not being a particularly insurance friendly area. OK, granted I am 47 with 3pts (SP40) but full NCB over 10 years and the g/f is similar but with no points, plus the car will be garaged but I still thought pretty respectable.

It got even better when I multi-car'd it and added in my XC70 and the wifes knockabout Peugot, down to £680

What I did find slightly surprising was that I had a high compulsory excess put on the XC70 as it is considered a "quality car"!!! Strange seeing as how it would have cost just over 1/2 what the RRS did when new!!

What are other people paying for theirs or are there any other places that should be considered at renewal time?

12 months ago Swift Cover were by far the cheapest, year before was Admiral and before that Elephant. Just going through it all again and "quote me happy" through Aviva seems to be this years lowest, siwft cover being 50% more.

I'm paying £500/yr for my RRS, 4 years NCB, parked on private drive in rural Hampshire.

Swift for me too £310.00 protected NCB, 2 drivers, business use, age 46 parked on driveway..

Rural obviously makes a big difference! Plan for the XC70 is to leave it at a cousins house near Belfast International and on their postcode, the price dropped by 50%!

31, garage, no points £550.... Put my mum on it comes down to £400 Even tho she will never be driving it

41yo and 47yo, no points, 1 disputed fault claim by 47yo 3 years ago otherwise full NCD (protected), business use for both, parked on the road overnight: £560 with Frizzell (LVE) incl a multi-car discount.

Will be looking elsewhere though as they don't cover any off road usage unless on a public right of way 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I'm sure it will go up at my renewal in September when they add up my Fault Claim for writing off the Q7....and a few others in the process  LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

£320 with admiral for the year. That's for 27 year old, parked on driveway with nine years no claims. Prices up north seem to be far cheaper

31 with admiral paying about £650, by far the best I could find
